Setup Guide

TeamViewer Installation

TeamViewer lets me remote into your laptop during our consultation session — so I can see your tuning software, help configure it, and make calibration changes directly. It takes about 5 minutes to set up.

📌 Before You Install

TeamViewer is industry-standard remote support software used by IT departments and tech support teams worldwide. It's free for personal use. I only access your computer when you initiate a session and share your ID and password with me — you are always in control.

Step 1 — Download TeamViewer

Download TeamViewer →
1
Go to the TeamViewer Download Page

Visit teamviewer.com and click Download TeamViewer. Make sure you're downloading for Windows.

2
Run the Installer

Open the downloaded TeamViewer_Setup.exe file. When prompted, select "Personal / Non-commercial use" and proceed through the installation.

3
No Account Needed

You don't need to create a TeamViewer account. When it asks you to sign in or create an account, you can skip or close that prompt — we just need the basic remote access function.

Step 2 — Find Your ID & Password
4
Open TeamViewer

After installation, open TeamViewer. The main window shows two things you need to send me: your Your ID and your Password.

Example — Your TeamViewer Screen Will Show
123 456 789
Your ID number + a temporary password. Both change each session.
5
Send Me Your ID and Password

Message me your TeamViewer ID and the Password shown on screen via Facebook Messenger or text. Once you close TeamViewer, that password is gone — a new one generates each time you open it. Never share these if you didn't initiate contact with me.

6
I'll Connect — You'll See Everything

Once I connect, you can see my mouse moving on your screen at all times. You can disconnect instantly by closing TeamViewer or pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del. You stay in control throughout.

Step 3 — During the Session
⚡ Have Your Tuning Software Open

Before we connect, have your ProCal, HP Tuners VCM Suite, Holley EFI software — whatever we're working with — already open and connected to your ECU or the USB interface. This saves time at the start of the session.

7
Make Sure You're Connected to the Internet

Your laptop needs an active internet connection — WiFi or hotspot is fine. You can also be connected to your ECU via USB at the same time with no conflict.

8
Laptop Near the Vehicle

If we're doing live calibration, your laptop should be close enough to the vehicle for the USB cable to reach the ECU interface. A USB extension cable is helpful if needed.

Your Privacy & Security
✓ You Are Always in Control

I can only connect when you provide your ID and password. TeamViewer generates a new password every session. I cannot access your computer without you actively sharing those credentials with me first.

🔐
Session-Only Access
Password resets every time you open TeamViewer. I can't connect after the session ends.
👁️
Full Visibility
You see everything I do on your screen in real time. No hidden actions.
⏹️
Disconnect Anytime
Close TeamViewer at any time to end the session immediately.
